Tech and knowledge to revolutionise the battery life cycle.

We redefine how battery value is created — as a result of system design, not something recovered at the end of the lifecycle.

Solution:

Our technology enables battery systems to be monitored, repaired, scaled and reused.
This ensures control, performance and value over time.

About us

Scandinavian Battery Technology is a deep-tech company.

We redefine how battery value is created by linking it directly to system design, not end-of-life recovery.

We operate where outcomes are determined — in system design — developing robust battery systems for demanding applications where performance and long-term value are set from the beginning.

Repairability, reuse and scalability are not afterthoughts, but a direct result of how systems are built.

As a partner, we take responsibility for the full system, building solutions that perform over time at industrial scale, under real-world conditions.

We don’t optimise what already exists.
We shape what comes next.

Felix Mannerhagen

CTO & Co-Founder

Felix is an electrical engineer, researcher and deep-tech entrepreneur with expertise in energy storage systems, battery packaging and control systems.

His work bridges advanced research with applied engineering and scalable industrial implementation, from concept to real-world systems.

At SBT, Felix is responsible for system architecture and technology strategy. He focuses on how battery systems are designed to enable scalability, repairability and long-term value.

Mats Fägerhag

CEO

Mats holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and brings more than 35 years of experience in automotive research and development. He has held senior leadership roles at Saab Automobile, General Motors Europe, Volvo Cars and Geely Automotive.

He has worked across the full development cycle, from early concepts to industrialisation, including leading large-scale platform development and delivery across multiple brands.

At SBT, Mats leads the company with a focus on turning advanced technology into scalable industrial solutions. His experience supports the development of systems that perform not only in theory, but in real-world conditions at scale.

Frank Eriksson

COO & Co-Founder

Frank holds an MSc in Industrial Design Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, with a strong background in mechanical design and product development.

His work has focused on taking concepts from idea to finished product, spanning the full development process from early design through to series production.

At SBT, Frank is responsible for mechanical design, system integration and overall reliability. He focuses on ensuring that systems meet real-world requirements in performance, robustness and scalability.
